Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for dedicated Personal Care Workers to join our team across various locations in Australia. In this role, you will provide quality direct care for residents, supporting them with daily living activities based on individual care plans, including:
- Personal hygiene, grooming, and oral care
- Continence management
- Effective communication with residents
- Fitting of aids (e.g., hearing aids, glasses, prosthetics)
- Assistance with mobility and transfers, adhering to manual handling policies
- Support with food and fluid intake
- Administering treatments (e.g., ointments, creams)
- Conducting basic observations (e.g., blood pressure, pulse, temperature)
- Maintaining residents’ privacy, dignity, and respect
- Documenting care activities and progress
- Assisting with activities and transport
- Following directives from supervisors, including Team Leaders and Registered Nurses

Responsibilities
Residents:
- Assist with all aspects of daily living and care
- Provide quality care based on individual care plans
- Encourage resident participation in activities
- Ensure privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
- Report changes in resident wellbeing to nursing staff
Personnel:
- Work collaboratively with the team
- Mentor new staff by example
- Maintain a professional and positive demeanor
Environment:
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents and staff
- Adhere to health and safety policies and report hazards
- Participate in the development and review of policies and procedures
General:
- Actively engage in meetings and training sessions
- Safely use equipment and resources
- Maintain confidentiality
- Participate in performance appraisals
Qualification
To be successful, you will have:
- Certificate III in Individual Support
- Commitment to quality improvement
- Knowledge of elderly health issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Proficiency in English
- Respect for the values, customs, and beliefs of residents and their families
- Right to work in Australia
- Current National Police Check

You must have minimum 6 months work right in Australia.
